How To Apply For Bharti Axa Life Insurance Online?

  • Log on to
  • Enter your personal details.
  • You will be asked if you like to add any riders, choose the ones that you want to be covered under the policy.
  • Approximate premium payable will be displayed, click on ‘proceed’ to purchase the policy.
  • Enter your personal and professional details against respective fields.
  • Enter the details of the beneficiary/beneficiaries and their percentage.
  • Revised premiums payable and insured amounts are displayed.
  • Few questions related to your health would be asked, enter the correct details.
  • You will be asked if you would like to open an Insurance Repository. Choose yes if you like to do so.
  • Read the terms and conditions carefully, click on authorized check box and give consent for the mentioned terms and conditions.
  • Click on ‘proceed to payment’. A pop-up would appear, it would tell if there are any medical check-ups that you have to undergo. Medical representatives from Bharti AXA would contact you for further details, post payment.
  • OTP would be sent on your mobile phone number, enter the same to validate and proceed.
  • Choose the mode of payment, and make the payment.
  • Confirmation of payment will be sent on E-mail and SMS.
  • E-policy would be mailed to your registered E-mail ID.

Bharti Axa Life Insurance Current Claim Procedure:

  • Death intimation to be shared with the insurance agent or at the nearest Bharti Axa branch.
  • Fill the death claim form, the form can be collected from the insurance agent or insurer’s branch.
  • Provide the details of the nominee.
  • Get signature from the treating doctor, on the pages as mentioned in the death claim form.
  • Attach death certificate, original policy document and identity proof of the insured and submit it at a Bharti AXA Life Insurance branch.
  • If the details furnished are found to be legitimate, then the claim will be processed and the insured amount will be credited to the nominee within 15 days.

Here's How Bharti AXA's New Claim Processing Service Will Work

Nominees can initiate Insurance claim intimation through WhatsApp. Yes, you read that right. Vikas Seth, MD & CEO of Bharti AXA Life Insurance, says ‘Service initiative would make claim submission a hassle-free process for the nominee’. Bharti AXA has become the first Indian Insurer to provide its customers with the option of claim intimation through WhatsApp.

This makes claim submission a hassle-free process, as nominees don’t have to visit the company’s branch, but have to only send a message on WhatsApp. Vikas Seth, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bharti AXA Life Insurance, said: “We are the first life insurance company in the country to use WhatsApp to intimate and expedite claims for our clients. The prime responsibility of any life insurance company is to honor a valid claim in the need of the hour. By embracing an instant messaging platform like WhatsApp, we are providing a prompt and fresh service option to enhance the comfort and benefit for our customers and improve customer-contact ability”.

He added that the nominee has to send a text to the company’s WhatsApp number for intimating his/her claim. The company would have dedicated personnel that would have access to this number and send an immediate response to the nominee. Further, the nominee would have to upload claim documents on a link that would be shared by the company. Bharti AXA Life Insurance informs nominee on his/her WhatsApp number only, and would settle the claim by crediting the death benefits to his/her bank account, if the claim is honored.

Bharti AXA Life said that they encourage their entire customer base to use this service. Seth said “We are confident that the use of WhatsApp will help us improve customer engagement during the claim process. More importantly, our customer-friendly initiative would complement the regulator’s efforts to enhance service, efficiency and transparency in the domestic life insurance industry”.
