Once the Aadhaar card is issued, it’s valid across the life of the Aadhaar holder. The Aadhaar card can be used across your lifetime for availing subsidies, for verification purposes and for availing various other benefits. However, the Aadhaar card issued to minors has a validity period. A blue Aadhaar card is issued to children below 5 years of age, which must be mandatorily updated with the change in details like fingerprint scan. (Biometrics)
Some of the Aadhaar cards are rejected and deactivated by the government, due to authenticity issues. It has been found that many people have more than one Aadhaar card in their name. So, the government has deactivated some Aadhaar cards to reduce corruption and misuse. If you want to check the validity of your Aadhaar Card, then here’s a way to check the validity of your Aadhaar card.

The Aadhaar card verification is an important step to make sure the card is genuine. An individual who has already applied for Aadhaar card can verify it using the UIDAI website. The website can be used for updating or correcting details like name, gender, date of birth, state and so on.
The biometric details like fingerprint, photograph and iris scan details are also provided and can be accessed from the website. While verifying your Aadhaar card if you find any details missing or incorrect, then you can directly contact the UIDAI online or visit the enrolment centre for correction and updating of the Aadhaar.
Follow the steps given below to check if your Aadhaar card is deactivated:
The E-Aadhaar is an electronic form of the Aadhaar card, which can be downloaded from the official UIDAI website. The E-Aadhaar is acceptable and valid just like the physical Aadhaar. The E-Aadhaar can be used for online verification purposes and uploads. The online Aadhaar helps the user carry an identification document in digital form, reducing the need to carry physical documents. The E-Aadhaar is protected by a secure password and the information contained within it is safe and secure.

The VID is valid only for a day. After 24 hours the VID gets deactivated and the user has to generate another VID for further transactions.
