An 18% GST will be charged on hotel rooms with a tariff between INR 2500 to INR 7500. Currently on hotel room tariffs between INR 2500 to INR 7500, a tax of around 21% is charged. The 3% tax discount would mean a cheaper dinner date.

2. Impact of GST on your movie date
Do you and your beloved love those romantic moments in single-screen theatres? You simply can't miss the old World charm of single-screen theatres? There's good news for you. The Government has reduced GST on movie tickets below INR 100 from 28% to 18%. This is what you normally pay for that movie ticket in single-screen theatres. Tickets in most multiplexes cost more than INR 100 where the GST rate is set at 28%.
