The Department of Post had announced the launch of India Post mobile app on October 14th. You get this facility at CBS-enabled post offices. (Core Banking Enabled-Post Offices). All you need is a valid login ID and internet banking credentials. The India Post mobile app is a secure, easy to use, state- of-the-art app. You can easily carry out transactions from your mobile phone.

How to Use India Post Mobile App?

The India Post Mobile App is available on iOS and Android platforms. Download this app and access India Post Mobile App on your mobile phone to enjoy post office services.

Do remember that this app can be used only if you have an account in CBS-enabled post offices. Get the KYC (Know Your Customer) of the account done. Make sure internet banking and mobile banking is enabled. If this is not enabled, fill up a form and submit at the nearest post office.

What If You are an Existing Customer?

After the mobile and internet based services are activated, you can use the India Post Mobile App to access your account online using login details and OTP. After authentication, you can set a 4-digit MPIN to login to this app and access accounts.

What is MPIN?

MPIN or mobile PIN is just like your mobile password. You can enter 4 digits and then change as per convenience. You need the MPIN to login to the mobile app and view the features.

What if you are a new customer?

Well, you can open an India Post Savings Account using the India Post Mobile App. All you need to do is click on ‘Open your account now’ tab. Then enter the mobile number and PAN. The OTP is sent for verification. When entering the OTP, make sure to enter Aadhaar Number and accept conditions for Aadhaar authentication. You can go on follow on-screen instructions to open the account.

How to Activate Post Office Mobile Banking?

  • Make a request at the post office by filling a form and activating mobile banking for savings account. It cou ld take a day to activate the account. Get the KYC done.
  • Download India Post Mobile App from the Google Play Store.
  • Open the app on your mobile and click Mobile Banking Activation Button. Enter details with mobile number and request the OTP.
  • You get the OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter the 4 digits and complete the registration.
  • You can now see all the features of the Post Office Mobile Banking App.
