National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) are the most popular stock exchanges in India. The timings of both NSE and BSE are the same. These two stock markets are open from Monday to Friday, between 9.15 AM to 3.30 PM. Stock markets are closed on public and national holidays. There are no breaks for lunch and tea in the stock markets. They are open throughout the day from 9.15 AM to 3.30 PM. The timings of commodity market are 10 AM to 11:30 PM, from Monday to Friday. The trade timing for Agri-community market is from 10 AM to 5 PM, from Monday to Friday.

This is the actual session in which most of the trades happen. The market opens at 9.15 AM and closes at 3.30 PM, from Monday to Friday. Individuals buy and sell stocks within these timings.
Pre-Opening Session: Timeframe between 9 AM to 9.15 AM is referred to as the pre-opening session. This is further divided as follows:
