Vyapam case: CBI arrests chairman of Bhopal based medical college

The CBI has arrested chairman of Bhopal-based LN Medical College J N Chouksey in connection with a Vyapam related case pertaining to Madhya Pradesh Pre-Medical Test-2012, officials said today. The agency had filed a supplementary chargesheet in the case on November 23, 2017 in a special court in Bhopal. The court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants against the absconding chargesheeted persons.

Maha to seek Rs 3,373 crore from Centre for relief to farmers

Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil today said the state government was going to demand a Rs 3,373 crore package from the Centre to provide relief to farmers whose crops were destroyed by the pink bollworm and jumping bug. Speaking in the Assembly, Patil said the farmers who have suffered more than 33% crop loss due to these pests would get relief under the package.

Police today said an NGO had put up 85 posters about a blood donation camp to be organized next month to mark his birth anniversary, they said. The case was registered on the charge of deliberate and malicious acts.

Government to raise gas price to highest level in 2 years

The government may raise the domestic natural gas price next week to its highest-level in two-years, a move that will translate into higher CNG price and increase the cost of electricity and urea production. Price paid to most of the natural gas produced from domestic fields is likely to be hiked to USD 3.06/million British thermal unit from April-1, from current USD 2.89, said the sources.

India to add 10 million tourism jobs in the next decade
