Musk thinks that AI is bad for humanity and may spark World War III. "I think Elon is exactly wrong" about AI, Schmidt said during the "VivaTech" conference in Paris on Friday.

Only 4% of LPG users give up subsidy on PM Modi's request

Northeastern states lead the chart with 14% of customers in Mizoram surrendering their subsidy 12% in Nagaland and 10% in Manipur. Outside this region, the only state or UT where the proportion exceeds 10% in Delhi with 12%.

Bats Not The Prime Cause Of Nipah Virus, Finds Report

Tests have ruled out bats being behind the spread of the Nipah virus that took 12 lives in Kerala's Kozhikode and Malappuram districts, officials said on Friday. A total of 21 samples from bats and pigs were sent to the High-Security Animal Diseases laboratory at Bhopal but all turned out negative according to the results, obtained late Friday evening, said officials.

PSU general insurers told to shore up capital levels

Govt okays Rs 5,000 cr for 1K institutions to boost higher education

In a major step towards improving quality of higher education and its expansion, the Centre on Friday approved Rs 5,000 crore to support 1012 higher educational institutions, which was described as unprecedented by HRD minister Prakash Javadekar. The amount (Rs 4,889 crore) was approved by Project Approval Board (PAB) of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) under the HRD ministry.

Sellers move courts against Snapdeal for non-payment of dues
