Bengal Chemicals registers profit after 63 years

Bengal Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, after a staggering 63 years of losses, in the FY17 has posted an annual profit of Rs 4 crore. It was founded by chemist and entrepreneur, P C Ray in 1901. The company drew in Rs 111 crore and managed to make a profit, compared to a loss of Rs 9 crore in FY16.
