
Bihar Shelter Rapes: Main Accused Brajesh Thakur, 18 Others Convicted

A Delhi court on Monday convicted 19 accused including NGO owner Brajesh Thakur in connection with sexual assault of girls at a shelter home in Bihar's Muzaffarpur. The court held that Thakur, the man who ran the shelter, was guilty of rape, gangrape and aggravated penetrative sexual assault. Over 30 minor girls were reported having suffered sexual abuse.
