While commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles have maintained growth in January despite the note ban, the two-wheeler industry, which is driven by rural economy, continues to fall. Domestic two-wheeler sales reduced by around 7% to around 12.62 lakhs in January 2017 from around 13.63 lakhs, a year ago. The note ban impact was seen more on companies that have major exposure to motorcycle sales.
