
8 Men Allegedly Gangrape Pregnant Goat in Mewat

A pregnant goat was allegedly gangraped by eight men in Haryana's Mewat on Wednesday, and died a day later, after which, a complaint was filed by the goat's owner. The police said that a medical investigation of the dead goat will be conducted. All the people accused are currently absconding, it added.

Punjab: Asthma cases on the rise among children

Incidences of asthma are rising among children in the state of Punjab. Speaking to the media, Dr Puneet Aulakh Pooni said, Harvesting season is here and hence the number of patients have increased three to four times. The doctor also advised wearing mask as a precaution. On a related note, eight to ten percent children suffer from asthma in India.

On the eve of World Asthma Day (May 1), a doctor has revealed some alarming statistics. One among every ten persons affected by asthma globally is an Indian, with the country having 20 million such patients and the number is on the rise, said Subhra Mitra, Head of the Department of Pulmonology in Calcutta National Medical College.
