Google is bringing Assistant to people without internet access

At its 'Google for India' event on Thursday, the company announced its virtual assistant will also be available to people who have the most basic cellphone with no internet access. A 24x7 telephone line on Vodafone-Idea telecom networks could be dialled by users to access the service. Google said it's been testing the line in Lucknow and Kanpur.
Uttarakhand govt makes Sanskrit compulsory from Class 3 to 8

Uttarakhand government has made Sanskrit language compulsory in all government and private schools from classes three to eight. Arvind Pandey, state's School and Sanskrit Education Minister, made the announcement about the move and said that this generation should know this ancient language. "We must acknowledge that this language has enriched our culture beyond measure," Pandey added.
CBI arrests ex-Odisha Cricket Association secretary in chit fund scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested former honorary secretary of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Asirbad Behera for his alleged links with Ponzi firm Artha Tatwa Group of Companies. Behera had allegedly received Rs.1 crore from AT Group in the garb of sponsorship for Odisha Ranji Cricket Team and title sponsorship for Odisha Premier League, 2011.
