European Parliament debates issues of its choice: Foreign Ministers' Dean

European-Parliament has the right to debate any issue of its choice, European-foreign-ministers' dean and Luxembourg foreign-minister Jean Asselborn has said ahead of the proposed EP debate on draft resolutions on India's CAA. Like in all democracies, the European-Parliament has the right to debate on issues it chooses. It even questions EU member-states on the rule-of-law or political-solidarity, like it did on Poland and Hungary.
Release Kashmir politicians held without charge: US

Top US envoy Alice Wells, who recently visited New Delhi, said her visit offered an opportunity to hear more on developments the CAA as she urged the Centre for "immediate release of political leaders detained without charge in Kashmir" post the abrogation of Article 370. On J-K, I was pleased to see some incremental steps, including the partial return of internet service in Kashmir.
Pak hand suspected in fake letter to Jaishankar

The Indian establishment suspects Pakistan's hand in a fake letter 'signed by members of the Indian community in Iran' and addressed to foreign minister Jaishankar ahead of Tehran visit. The letter claimed that the community was concerned over the Citizenship Amendment Act and protests in India and wanted to meet Jaishankar to voice concerns.
