Data speed on Airtel fastest, Jio coverage widest in Jul-Dec: Ookla

Data speed on Bharti Airtel network was the fastest and Reliance Jio network coverage was highest during the July-December 2018 period in 15-cities across the country, according to report released by telecom network research firm Ookla. "Airtel was the fastest mobile operator in India during third and fourth quarters of 2018, regardless of whether a customer was on LTE or not," the report said.

Jio tops 4G download speed chart; Idea in upload: TRAI

Reliance Jio continues to lead in 4G speed download chart published by telecom regulator Trai for November, despite witnessing a slight-dip in its network performance at-average-speed of 20.3 megabit per second (Mbps). The Mukesh Ambani-led firm was fastest 4G operator with its average peak download speed in October at 22.3 Mbps. Airtel network registered slight improvement in average upload-speed at 4 mbps in November.
