
Woman finds out 'glass ring' bought 30 yrs ago is Rs.6.8cr diamond

UK's 55-year-old Debra Goddard, who bought a ring from a sale 33 years ago thinking it was made of glass, recently discovered it's a diamond ring worth Rs.6.8 crore. She decided to sell the ring after her mother lost all money to a fraudster. When a jeweller examined it, Goddard was told that it was a 26.27-carat diamond.

Indian Media Barred from Conference Addressed by Pak Minister in UK

Indian media was not allowed entry into the 'International Conference on Kashmir' event addressed by Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the UK House of Commons complex on Monday. India registered "strong" opposition over the matter, following which the UK government responded stating Qureshi was not an official guest as he was on a private visit to Britain.

'The Accidental Prime Minister' director Vijay Ratnakar Gutte's firm VRG Digital Corporation has been found to be indulging in "circuitous transactions" with a few firms to "defraud" the British Film Institute, as per reports. "The company, already facing charges of violating India's tax laws, has also claimed tax rebates in the United Kingdom," the report stated.
