Vistara gets all clear to fly abroad

Vistara, a joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, can now fly to international destinations, Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola said. Vistara had sought government clearance last June when it met the requirement of owning a fleet of more than 20 jets, needed to fly internationally. Vistara is one of the three full-service carriers in India.
Deposit Rs 10 crore and travel abroad: SC tells Karti

The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Karti Chidambaram, son of senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, to travel abroad after depositing Rs 10 crore with its registry. The apex court asked Karti to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on March 5, 6, 7 and 12 for questioning in connection with the INX Media and Aircel Maxis cases, saying "don't play around with the law".
