
Bhima Koregaon Case: Police Seek 90-Day Extension To File Chargesheet

The Pune Police filed an application in the Pune Sessions Court seeking a 90-day extension to file charge sheet against four people Sudha Bhardwaj, Arun Ferreira, Vernon Gonsalves and Varavara Rao in the Bhima Koregaon violence case. The four activists were arrested from various locations on August 28 for their alleged role in instigating caste violence in Maharashtra's Bhima Koregaon village on January 1.

Supreme Court Defers Hearing In Bhima-Koregaon Case To December 3

The Supreme Court deferred the hearing in Bhima Koregaon violence case till December-3. The police, in its charge-sheet, alleged that "entire campaigning for Elgaar Parishad and speeches delivered at Elgaar Parishad has aggravated the Bhima Koregaon violence." During the course of the investigation, the police have examined around 80 witnesses. During the interrogation, Singh revealed that Milind Teltumbde is the leader of Urban Naxalism.
