The of baby of the woman who was transfused with HIV positive blood at a government hospital in Tamil Nadu's Virudhnagar, has tested negative. The woman was admitted to the Rajaji Hospital in Sattur town of Virudhunagar district for treatment in December last year when she was transfused with HIV positive blood.
Goa looks at making HIV test must before marriage

Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the coastal state's government was mulling making HIV-tests mandatory before the registration of marriages. Rane added that the proposal to make HIV testing compulsory before marriage was being vetted by the Law Department. "If it is cleared by the Department soon, then we will table the law in the monsoon session of the state-Legislative Assembly," Rane said.

A European study has found that AIDS drugs prevent sexual transmission of HIV in gay men who had sex without condoms. The study of nearly 1,000 gay male couples - where one partner had HIV and was taking antiretroviral drugs to suppress it - found no cases of HIV transmission over eight years. "Our findings provide conclusive evidence," researchers said.
