
More AIIMS-Like Institutions Coming Up In Country: J P Nadda

Union minister J P Nadda said the health ministry is coming up with several AIIMS-like institutions and expanding the medical colleges'' network in the country. Mr Nadda, the minister of Health and Family Welfare, was addressing the 35th convocation of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER). Mr Nadda is also the president of the institute.

AIIMS research scholars protest for increased stipend in Delhi

PhD scholars from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have started a protest for a hike in research fellowship. At least 1,000 PhD scholars from the Society of Young Scientists (SYS) at AIIMS have written to the ministry of science and technology, and the ministry of human resource development demanding 80 per cent hike in the current research fellowship.

Ravi Shankar Prasad Discharged From AIIMS

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) authorities said on Thursday that Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was discharged from the hospital earlier in the day, where he was admitted in the Pulmonary Medicine Department. Mr Prasad, 64, had arrived at the hospital around 8 pm on Wednesday. Mr Shah, 54, was admitted on Wednesday after contracting swine flu, hospital authorities told IANS.
