Delhi bans entry of trucks to combat post-Diwali smog

The air quality in Delhi continues to be adverse. The national capital is still reeling from the effects of the Diwali firecracker frenzy. Delhi's pollution level post-Diwali nearly doubled in comparison to last year and entered the "severe-plus emergency" category (ten times permissible limit) as people burst firecrackers before and after the Supreme Court stipulated time frame of 8 pm to 10 pm.
