Lion Air ponders canceling Boeing jets in dispute over crash: Sources

Indonesia's Lion Air is reviewing airplane purchases from Boeing and has not ruled-out canceling orders as relations worsen in a spat over responsibility for a 737 jetliner crash that killed 189 people in late October, sources told Reuters. Kirana is examining the possibility of canceling remaining orders of Boeing-jets "from the next delivery," according to one of sources who is familiar with his thinking.

Tata Sons wants to fly out of joint venture with AirAsia

Tata Sons is looking to end its partnership with AirAsia Bhd as it only wants to be engaged in one-airline-business, Vistara, joint venture with SIA, according to several-people aware of the matter. Initial discussions to this end have begun, even as the conglomerate inches closer to a separate deal to acquire ownership stake in India's second-biggest airline Jet Airways from its founder Naresh Goyal.

Data recovered from crashed Lion Air data recorder: Official

Investigators succeeded in retrieving hours of data from a crashed Lion Air jet's flight recorder as Indonesian authorities extended the search at sea for victims and debris. National Transportation Safety Committee deputy chairman Haryo Satmiko told news conference that 69 hours of flight data was downloaded from the recorder including its fatal flight. More than 100 body bags of human remains had been recovered.
