JNU Students' Union (JNUSU) president Aishe Ghosh, who was badly injured in a brutal attack on students and teachers on the campus, on Wednesday said that whatever is going on in Kashmir cannot be forgotten. The Delhi Police had on Monday questioned Ms Ghosh and two others in connection with violence at the university on January 5.

Aishe Ghosh, the chief of JNU Students' Union, said she is confident that there can be no police action against her regarding the two First Information Reports, since she has not been involved in any violence. "I have not done any violence. The police first need to have proof against me to take action," she told NDTV in an interview.

JNU Students' Union president Aishe Ghosh alleged women students were not only "manhandled" by male police personnel during Monday's protest but were even "groped". "We took out a peaceful march. The Vice-Chancellor is continuously spreading a false narrative that JNU students do not want to study... Near Ber Sarai, CRPF started beating us. Female students were treated badly by police," Ms Ghosh said.
