Delhi Waqf Board chairman and AAP lawmaker Amanatullah Khan said the panel will give Rs.5-lakh and a job to the wife of 24-year-old Tabrez Ansari who was lynched in Jharkhand. Tabrez Ansari was allegedly tied to a pole and thrashed with sticks by a mob in the Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district last Wednesday on the suspicion of theft and he succumbed to injuries on Saturday.

Aam Aadmi Party's Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan and his supporters were charged for allegedly assaulting and threatening a man in Delhi's Jamia Nagar, police said on Monday. A complaint was received from a man alleging that AAP supporters assaulted him because he was not supporting Mr Khan and the party, a senior police officer said.

The BJP alleged corruption in Delhi Waqf Board and accused its chairman and AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan of handing over Waqf properties worth over Rs.100-crore to unauthorised persons without following due process, charge denied by the latter. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta alleged that CM Arvind Kejriwal is turning a-blind-eye to serious "corruption and rampant irregularities of criminal-nature of his MLA".
