Monkeys kill elderly man, kin demands FIR

A 70-year-old man has allegedly been stoned to death by more than 50 monkeys in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district. Krishnapal Singh, the brother of the deceased, Brhampal told the media, “50 to 60 monkeys attacked my brother when he was collecting wood for havan outside our house… He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.”
Save Gir lions from virus, open wells: Gujarat High Court tells state

The Gujarat High Court directed the state government to take all possible measures to put an end to the lion deaths happening in the Gir region due to the three major causes, namely, spread of virus, open wells, and electrocution. The court directed that the suggestions made by the experts consulted by the government should be strictly followed and action will be taken.
Lion carcass found, Gujarat forest dept says due to natural cause

A lion carcass was found in private farmland near Hasnapur village in Visavadar range of Gir (West) forest division. The animal is believed to have died of natural causes, a forest official said and added the new death has nothing to do with any infection. Interestingly, 23 lions died in Dalkhaniya range in 20 days.
