"Appalling": Mumbai Photographer Roughed Up By Cops At Anti-CAA Protest

A senior photographer in Mumbai was assaulted on Thursday afternoon by two policemen when he was trying to click photos at a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA. Ashish Raje, the photojournalist, is seen being roughed up by two cops in a video of the incident recorded by an onlooker on a mobile phone.
Anti-CAA stir in Mumbai: Students hold discussions at YB Chavan Centre

In the wake of the anti-CAA and proposed NRC stir across the country, students on Sunday gathered together at YB Chavan Centre in Mumbai to hold discussions on the two contentious issues. Congress MLA and education minister of Maharashtra Varsha Gaikwad was part of the event. "In Maharashtra, there is our government and we won't implement CAA, NRC," further said Varsha Gaikwad.
Panel to assess property damage during anti-CAA protests in Muzaffarnagar

The district authorities have set-up a panel under the additional district magistrate to identify persons who were responsible for damaging public property during protests against the Citizenship Act on December-20 in Muzaffarnagar. Speaking to PTI on Saturday, panel in-charge Additional-District-Magistrate Amit Singh said the process has started to asses the damage to public-property and for fixing responsibility on the persons who committed the act.
