Tim Cook Defends Pulling App Used By Hong Kong Protesters In Leaked Email

Apple chief Tim Cook defended the decision to pull an app used by protesters in Hong Kong to track police, according to a leaked email to employees obtained by a tech news site. Apple removed the HKmap.live mobile application from the App Store after criticism by Beijing, which is stepping up pressure on foreign companies deemed to be providing support to the pro-democracy movement.
TikTok Still Unavailable in India via App Store, Google Play

TikTok remained unavailable for download on both Google Play Store and Apple's App Store on Friday two days after the Madras High Court's Madurai Bench lifted the ban on the short video-sharing app. Sources in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said that official communication to the technology companies would be made after it receives the court directive.
HDFC Bank mobile app pulled from Play Store and App Store

HDFC Bank has withdrawn its mobile app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store after users complained of being unable to access it. The mobile app had been revamped and launched earlier this week with new interface and features. The bank is yet to issue an update regarding when the new version will be made available for users.
