Apple CEO Tim Cook's Pay Dropped 26% in 2019

The annual compensation of Apple CEO Tim Cook dropped to Rs.83 crore ($11.56 million) in 2019, down 26% from Rs.113 crore ($15.7 million) in 2018. It comprises a $3 million base salary, $885,000 benefits for expenses such as use of private jets and $7.7 million incentive bonus, which was lower due to Apple exceeding its sales target by only 28%.
GST revenue from 1-line service providers surges

Average-monthly GST payments in India by internet-based service providers including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar, Apple and Microsoft grew over 62% so far in the current fiscal compared with last year's level, as per GST Network-data. Given that these services have been taxed at 18% since start of GST, this reflects the robust expansion of the subscription base of these players over the past year.
Apple, Tesla Among Companies Accused of Aiding Child Labour in DRC

Five of the world's largest tech companies have been accused of being complicit in the death of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo forced to mine cobalt, a metal used to make telephones and computers, in a landmark lawsuit. The legal complaint on behalf of 14 families from Congo was filed by International Rights Advocates, against Tesla, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Dell Technologies.
