Abrogation of Art 370 'historic step': Army chief

Army chief Gen M M Naravane on Wednesday hailed the abrogation of provisions of Article 370 as a "historic step" and said the move has disrupted plans of the "western neighbour and its proxies". The armed forces have "zero-tolerance against terrorism", he said at the 72nd Army Day function in the Cariappa Parade Ground.
Prepared For Any Challenge Along Border With China, Says Army Chief

Army Chief General MM Naravane said the Army is taking a raft of measures including moving advanced weapons and developing infrastructure as part of its approach of "rebalancing" operational preparedness for combating any security challenge along the frontier with China. General Naravane said the Indian Army is now prepared for any challenge along the frontier with China as result of "rebalancing" its preparedness.
100 Women Batch Starts Training For Military Police Induction: Army Chief

The training of the first-batch of 100 women soldiers for induction into military police has started from January 6, Army Chief Gen M M Naravane said on Saturday. In a historic first, the Army last year began the process of inducting women in the military police, nearly two years after then Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said women will be recruited in the force.
