
Battered by competition, Intex plans to make products for Chinese firms

This may be a classic case of 'if you can't beat them, join them'. Bowing down to the Chinese-handset-brands which has almost wiped away the domestic mobile-phone-industry, the second largest home-grown-maker Intex-Technologies is now planning to contract manufacture for the Chinese to make a turnaround. Intex-sales has been declining year-on-year after touching a peak of Rs.6,233-crore in FY16 due to the entry of Chinese-brands.

Tech Mahindra signs MoU with CET for AI center

Technology services major Tech Mahindra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar to set up a Center of Excellence (CoE) within the college campus to train young graduates in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik, according to a release.

Former Cognizant President Rajeev Mehta joins board of Qualitest

Former-Cognizant-President Rajeev Mehta has joined the board of Qualitest, an independent quality assurance and engineering company, the company said. Mehta will spend the next three months visiting a selection of Qualitest's global offices in London, the United States and India to get an understanding of the company practices. Qualitest CEO Norm Merritt said Mehta's experience would help the company grow in 2020 and beyond.
