Ex-Union Minister Arun Shourie Hospitalised After Minor Head Injury

Former Union minister Arun Shourie sustained a brain injury after he fainted and fell near his home in Lavasa and was admitted to a private hospital in Maharashtra, a doctor said. Mr Shourie, 78, fell near his bungalow in Lavasa, a hill city some 60 kilometres from here, while out on a walk on Sunday night, leaving him bleeding and unconscious, he said.

Former BJP leader and noted journalist Arun Shourie was admitted to a hospital in Maharashtra's Pune city after he fell ill, a doctor attending him said. The 78-year-old former Union minister fainted late Sunday-night following which he was rushed to the Ruby Hall Clinic, he said. "All necessary tests have been performed and he is currently under observation," a senior-doctor at the hospital said.
