2 IndiGo planes avert mid-air collision Indo-Bangla airspace border

Two IndiGo planes came too close for comfort before averting a mid-air collision at the border airspace of India and Bangladesh, AAI officials said. With only 45-seconds before the possible collision, it was averted after the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower in Kolkata instructed one plane to turn right and move away from the other aircraft that had come at the same level.

Jet Airways sets jet sale, leaseback plan in motion to raise $800 mn

Jet Airways (India) Ltd is in talks to raise as much as $800 million from sale and leaseback (SLB) of 16 aircraft owned by the airline, according to a person close to the development. The cash-strapped airline has 124 aircraft in its fleet, including 16 that it owns 10 Boeing 777, three Airbus A 330 and three Boeing 737. The rest are on lease.

You'll legally be able to fly drones from December 1

Starting December 1, individuals and companies will be legally allowed to fly drones in Indian airspace, except for in restricted areas, according to the civil aviation ministry's new Drone Regulations 1.0. However, the commercial use of drones as taxis or delivery vehicles will not be allowed as of now, but the ministry has said that it's open to future changes.
