Need to spread awareness about tribal icons: Governor

Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu Thursday said the Centre and the state government have begun works to protect tribal culture, tradition and spreading awareness about tribal icons so that the generations next will be able to know about them. Murmu said that Birsa Munda and others had launched struggle against the British rule and “Birsa Munda has been given the status of Bhagavan.”
NGO launches awareness campaign against antibiotic overuse

A healthcare NGO launched an awareness drive against overuse of antibiotics that leads to human-body resisting its effectiveness. NGO Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI) launched the drive in association with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and WHO. The campaign was taken up as a precursor to the ‘Perfect Health Mela’ to be held later this month, said a statement from NGO.
Love Matters India launches film on safe abortion to create awareness

To mark the Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion, on 28 September, Love Matters, India’s first digital platform on sexual health, is launching a new campaign calling for support for women seeking abortion. As part of the campaign, Love Matters is launching India’s first 360/VR film on the issue of abortion, in Delhi on the 27th of September, 2018.
