Uttar Pradesh govt identifies plots for Ayodhya mosque

The Uttar Pradesh government has identified possible plots for a mosque in Ayodhya, in compliance with the recent Supreme Court order greenlighting the construction of a temple at the former site of the Babri Masjid which Hindus consider to be Lord Ran's birthplace. The Supreme Court said in its November-9 ruling that the Sunni-Waqf-Board should receive an alternate 5-acre plot of land within Ayodhya.

Senior advocate Rajeev Dhavan, who appeared for Muslim parties in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute case, on Tuesday said he has been sacked from the matter on the 'nonsensical' ground that he is unwell. Dhavan, who posted the information on Facebook, said he is no longer involved in either the review or the case.
5 Cops Suspended In Madhya Pradesh For Using WhatsApp During Ayodhya Duty

Five-policemen were suspended after they were found chatting on WhatsApp while on duty in sensitive areas of Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur on the day of the SC's verdict in the Ayodhya case, an official said. The five personnel, all sepoys, were deployed in some sensitive city areas on Saturday in view of the top court's judgment in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya.
