Ayodhya: Yogi govt for speedy hearing, SC lists it for January

After Uttar Pradesh governments plea for early hearing of appeals challenging the Allahabad High Court order in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, the Supreme Court Monday, while observing "we have our own priorities", ordered listing of appeals before an "appropriate bench" in the first week of January 2019 to fix a date for hearing.
Top Court May Hear Petitions Against Ayodhya HC Verdict Today

The Supreme Court is likely to hear today a batch of petitions challenging the Allahabad High Court's 2010 verdict by which the disputed land on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid area in Ayodhya was divided into three parts. A bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and KM Joseph would hear the appeals filed in the matter.
