Another Air India passenger complains of bed bugs

A passenger who travelled Air India's Newark-Mumbai-flight last week has posted disturbing photos of what she says are bedbug bites on her arm. Saumya-Shetty is the second passenger in a week to complain about bedbugs on the same flight. Saumya-Shetty, who travelled business class with her three-children, including a baby, and arrived in Mumbai last Wednesday, says she developed rashes all over her body.

Air India blames weather conditions for bed bugs in first class

After a passenger who travelled in Air India's Newark-Mumbai flight complained of bed bugs in their business class seats, the airline claimed, "Infestation may have happened due to the current weather conditions." Apologising for the inconvenience, Air India also offered to refund 75% of the passenger's fare. The passenger had tweeted a photo of bite marks all over her arm.

Air India complaints of bed bug in flight from US

Air India said on Tuesday the incidents of bed-bug-bites in its flights from the US were isolated ones but it had taken a "serious" view of the complaints and carried out an extensive-service of the aircraft, including fumigation, as the airline continued to face-flak from passengers. Several business-class-passengers took social-media to vent out their anger over being bitten by bed-bugs on the Newark-Mumbai flights.
