No blanket ban on media reporting in Bihar shelter home case: SC

The Supreme Court said there can't be a blanket ban on media's coverage of Muzaffarpur shelter home case where over 30 girls were allegedly raped. It asked print and electronic media not to sensationalise incidents of sexual abuse and sexual violence. The apex court also vacated Patna High Court's August order restraining media from reporting on the case.
Bihar shelter home case: Ex-minister Manju Verma booked

Former Bihar Social Welfare Minister Manju Verma and her husband have been booked for possession of over 40 live cartridges. The cartridges were seized by police during a raid in connection with the alleged involvement of Verma's husband in the Muzaffarpur shelter home case. Some of the cartridges were of Self Loading Rifle which cannot be obtained by a civilian.
