The world's biggest digital coin began life promising to become "electronic cash," but Bitcoin and its swarm of imitators are slipping deeper into the shadows of traditional payment services. The funk engulfing cryptocurrencies has now sent the total value of the 100 largest tokens to around half that of Visa Inc. In January they were worth almost three times the credit card Goliath.
BJP Appoints PS Sreedharan Pillai as Kerala Chief

The BJP on Monday appointed senior-leader PS Sreedharan-Pillai as the new-president for the party’s Kerala unit. He replaced Kummanam-Rajasekharan, who was recently appointed Governor of Mizoram. BJP General-Secretary Arun-Singh issued the statement of appointments. Pillai, who is termed by his friends and foes as the “sober-face” in the BJP’s Kerala-unit, reacted to his appointment, saying that he was never an aspirant for the post.
Supreme Court Refuses To Stay RBI's Virtual Currencies Circular

The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to grant a temporary stay on RBI's banking restriction on cryptocurrencies. RBI-regulated entities have to wind up relations with individuals and firms dealing in virtual currencies by July 5. Notably, many exchanges have already started crypto-to-crypto exchange facilities where investors will not be able to buy or sell crypto assets in exchange for rupees.
