Bombay High Court Grants Bail To Peter Mukerjea In Sheena Bora Murder Case

The Bombay HC granted bail to former-media baron Peter Mukerjea, arrested in the Sheena Bora killing case, observing that prima facie there was no evidence of his involvement in the crime. Justice Nitin Sambre granted bail to Peter Mukrjea on a surety of Rs.2-lakh and directed that he should not contact his children Rahul Mukerjea and Vidhi Mukerjea and other witnesses in the case.
High Court Grants Relief To Suspended Senior Cop Accused Of Molestation

The Bombay High Court today granted interim protection from arrest to suspended Maharashtra deputy inspector general of police Nishikant More, who is accused of molesting a 17-year-old girl. Justice PD Naik directed Nishikant More to appear before Taloja police in Navi Mumbai on January 29, 30 and 31 to cooperate with the investigation in the case.
High Court To Hear Ajit Pawar's Plea In Irrigation Scam Next Month

The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court said it would hear on February-13 a plea seeking judicial inquiry in the Vidarbha irrigation scam and against Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, even as the NCP leader opposed the application. Mr Pawar, the NCP MLA from Baramati in Pune district, was water resources development minister during 1999-2009 when the Congress-NCP combine was in power in Maharashtra.
