Burari deaths: It wasn't suicide, but accident, finds CBI report

The deaths of 11-members of a family in Delhi's-Burari, CBI has concluded they didn't commit-suicide, but it was an accident. "On the basis of psychological-autopsy-study on the deceased, the incident was not a suicide but an accident that occurred during the course of performing a ritual. None of the deceased had an intention to put an end to his/her life," the report said.

The bodies of four-members of a family were found stacked atop each other and buried in a pit in the backyard of their house in Kerala's Idukki district. They were missing for the last four-days. The police said the bodies found on Wednesday, bore-injury marks. Police identified the deceased as Krishnan (52), his wife Susheela (50), their daughter Arsha (21) and son Arjun (19).

The police on Wednesday received the post-mortem report in Delhi's Burari mass suicide case, confirming 10 of the 11 Bhatia family members died of hanging and no injury marks were present on the bodies. The autopsy report of the senior-most member, whose body was found in another room, is yet to come. Doctors differed over the cause of her death.
