Karnataka to challenge Cauvery water authority in Supreme Court

An all-party meet called by Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on Saturday decided to authorise the state’s legal team to file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Centre’s recent notification of the Cauvery management authority. Additionally, members of Parliament from the state have agreed to take up the issue in the House.
HDK appoints representative to the Cauvery Management Authority

Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy appointed Principal Secretary Rakesh Singh as Karnataka's representative to the Cauvery Management Authority on Monday. He also appointed HL Prasanna, the Managing Director of Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited as the states representative to the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee. He made the announcement in a meeting held on Monday. He also called for an all party meet to discuss on wednesday.
Will send names of nominees in Cauvery Board: HDK writes to PM

HD Kumaraswamy said that the state will soon send to the Centre the names of its nominees in the Cauvery Water Management Board (CMB) and the Regulation Authority but it will have to address certain issues first. Kumaraswamy told reporters in New Delhi that they have to abide by the Supreme Court judgement in the case relating to the sharing of Cauvery waters.
