5 Trains Cancelled, 6 Diverted From Mumbai Due To Heavy Rain

Five trains have been cancelled and six have been diverted in Mumbai due to heavy-rain and flooding-of-tracks in some areas, the Central Railway said. The IMD had predicted "heavy to very-heavy" rain in Mumbai, including "extremely heavy" rain in isolated places. Mumbai and its suburbs, Thane, Palghar and Pune have received rainfall in excess of the normal average between June-1 and July-24, it said.
Railways Develops Robot USTAAD, To Check For Faults In Trains

To make trains more safe by eliminating human errors, Central Railway has developed an-AI-powered robot which would click pictures and record videos of under-gears of trains and send them to engineers for repairs and maintenance. The mechanical branch of Central Railway's Nagpur division has developed robot named USTAAD, which examines parts of coach in real-time with a HD camera and transmits them over WiFi.
On Gandhi Jayanti, Mumbai Railway Starts First Tricolour Local Train

On Mahatma Gandhi birth anniversary today, Mumbai Central Railway has started a tricolour train to create awareness about Swachh Bharat. The students of Kalyan railway school have coated the coaches in the colours of the national flag. Also painted on the coaches are inspiring messages from Mahatma Gandhi. The Central-Railway has shared a video of the train with its arrival and departure time schedule.
