Former India cricketer VB Chandrasekhar passes away

Former India and Tamil Nadu opener V.B. Chandrasekhar passed away in Chennai on Thursday. He was 57. Chandrasekhar, popularly called VB, is survived by his wife and two-daughters. A hard-hitting opener, he represented India in seven ODIs, with an-innings of 53 being his highest-score. In 81 first-class-matches, Chandrasekhar notched-up 4999 runs with a highest score of an unbeaten 237 at an average of 43.09.

Harbhajan reveals Shane Watson batted with bleeding knee in IPL final

Shane Watson, who scored a valiant 80-runs for the Chennai Super Kings in the finals of the just concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), batted all the way with a bleeding knee. This was revealed by Watson's teammate Harbhajan Singh on Instagram stories on Monday. The photo posted by Harbhajan on Monday showed the Australian on a bent knee, flaying a ball through the off-side.
