CIC rules EVMs are 'information' under RTI Act

Sunday, February 24, 2019, 6:56 PM

An Electronic Voting Machine is "information" under Right to Information Act and can be demanded by an-applicant from Election-Commission of India on-a-payment of Rs.10, Central Information Commission has ruled. But that also can be contested before CIC, highest-adjudicating-authority in RTI matters.
