Dengue Cases Rise To 650 In Delhi, Doctors Advice Precautions

Dengue cases have spiralled in Delhi over the past two-weeks, with at least 650-people being diagnosed with the vector-borne disease this season, according to a municipal report. The report says nearly 170 of the cases came to light in the first week of October alone. Also, 347-cases of malaria and 89 of chikungunya have been reported this season till October-6, according to the report.
109 Malaria, 56 Dengue Cases Reported In Delhi This Season

At least 21 fresh cases of malaria were reported by the various municipalities in the national Capital last week, thus taking the total count of people affected by the disease to 109. The total number of cases of dengue and chikungunya reported by August 4 are 56 and 37, respectively, higher than last week's numbers.

As the monsoon-season arrives, so does all the problems associated with it. The major ones being the potholes on the roads and mosquitoes that cause vector-borne-diseases. Many roads in the national-Capital have the pits that are overlooked and are now becoming breeding grounds for mosquitoes thus causing diseases. More than 40-cases of malaria and 14-cases of chikungunya have already been reported in the city.
