Senior-Congress Chidambaram said incident involving a German student participating in the anti-Citizenship-Act protest was a reminder of the dark chapter in world-history. The German is reminding us of a-dark-chapter in the world's history so that we may not repeat that in India. The student deserves our gratitude. Where is the Director of IIT? Where is the Chairman? As Fury Mounts Over Citizenship Law, BJP To Reach Out To 3 Crore Families

Faced with an avalanche of protests some of which have been violent over the controversial citizenship law, the ruling BJP has stepped up firefighting efforts and plans to connect with three crore families over the next 10 days in an outreach effort. This will include several hundred rallies and more than 250 press conferences and, the government says, will clear "misconceptions" about the CAA.
15 Dead In Violence In UP Since Thursday Over Citizenship Protests

Thirteen people were killed in violence across Uttar Pradesh over the centre's new-citizenship-law, which broke-out after Friday prayers. One person had died in Lucknow and one in Sambhal on Thursday, taking the total number of deaths in the state to 15. The police said four persons have died in Meerut, two each in Firozabad and Bijnor, one each in Sambhal, Kampur, Varanasi and Lucknow.
