Man Arrested For Burning Copy of Constitution over SC/ST Act

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly burning a copy of the Constitution during a protest against amendments to the Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes act. The accused had also shouted slogans against Dalit icon BR Ambedkar, who is known as the Father of the Constitution. A video of the incident was circulated on social media.

'Raise judges' retirement age to 70 yrs

A Delhi BJP leader and Supreme Court advocate, has urged the Prime Minister to raise the retirement age of judicial officers and judges to 70 years to reduce pendency of cases and retain the best talent. He said the country needs experienced judges to minimise judicial and procedural error and secure fundamental right of speedy justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the constitution.
