Courier caught with 17kg gold at Surat railway station

The railway-police have nabbed a courier-service-employee who was carrying a package of 17 kg of gold, estimated to cost Rs 5.1 crore, from Surat-railway station on Thursday evening. The man had boarded Suryanagri Express from Borivali railway-station in Mumbai. When the cops, who found his actions and demeanour "suspicious", checked his bag, they recovered gold-biscuits. The railway authorities handed him over to the Surat-police.
Gujarat: Courier boy harasses 15-year-old Ranip resident

A 15-year-old girl was harassed by a courier boy on Tuesday afternoon who arrived when she was alone at home. The accused entered the house and grabbed her from the back when she had turned to fetch water for the accused. A complaint has been lodged at Sabarmati Police Station; the accused was arrested from his house shortly.
'Dabbawalas' to deliver couriers, parcels soon

The famous 'Dabbawalas' could soon be seen dispatching couriers and parcels in addition to the current job of delivering tiffins in the city. Currently, over 5,000 people are involved in the delivery of two lakh tiffin boxes in the city. Mumbai Dabbawala Association spokesperson Subhash Talekar said they are in an advanced stage of finalising the new project to deliver parcels within the city.
