Man allowed to take civil service exam in custody

Delhi High Court has allowed a man lodged in jail, facing prosecution in a murder case, to take the Manipur Civil Service examination. The court said the accused should be taken to Imphal by economy flight for the May 12 exam. While the prisoner will pay for his tickets, Delhi government will bear the cost of officers' travel and lodging.

A 57-year-old widowed school teacher, who went to Uttarakhand CM Trivendra-Rawat requesting a transfer during a Janata-Darbar-session, landed up in jail after a exchange that has been caught on camera. In the video, the CM is seen losing his temper and directing the police to suspend the teacher, after she allegedly used abusive language and showed indecency, while seeking transfer from a remote location.
