Wipro to establish Cyber Defence Centre in Melbourne

India's IT major Wipro Ltd is all set to expand its presence in Australia's Victoria state by establishing a 1.5-million-dollar state-of-the-art Cyber-Defence-Centre. The new centre in South-Melbourne will offer protection from cyber-attacks to the organisations and will generate 100 new-tech-jobs for locals. The new 1.5-million(Australian) dollar centre will also offer internship opportunities for the university graduates pursuing a career in cyber-security in the country.
NPCIL accepts cyber attack on Kudankulam

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) on Wednesday accepted cyber attack on its system after issuing a denial on it a day ago. "Identification of malware in NPCIL system is correct. The matter was conveyed by CERT-In when it was noticed by them on September 4, 2019," a statement issued by NPCIL on Wednesday said.
76% Indian businesses hit by cyberattacks: Sophos' EDR survey

Sophos, an endpoint security provider said that 76% of Indian businesses were hit by cyberattacks in the past year, the highest after Mexico and France. In its global survey, 7 Uncomfortable Truths of Endpoint Security, Sophos said that more than 18% threats discovered in India are on mobile devices, almost double than the global average, while only 7.9% were discovered on endpoints.
