With the aim of detecting, responding and addressing advanced cyber-attacks and risks encountered by organizations, EY has collaborated with IBM to launch an advanced SOCs as-part-of its Managed Services offerings in India. Government To Provide Handbook On Cyber Safety To School Children

The Union Home Ministry has come-out with a booklet on-cyber-safety for teenagers that tries to address their increased use of smartphones, gadgets, online gaming, social-media and fake-news. The 38-page booklet, titled "A Handbook for Students on Cyber Safety", also deals with the problems of cyber bullying, cyber grooming and email fraud. Cyber grooming is growing as one of major cyber threats faced by children.

The risk of data leak and hacking by cyber criminals is increasing as smartphones become more and more complex and internet penetration widens. India saw 53,000 incidents of cyber attacks last year, most of them allegedly coming from China, according to data released by the government. Cyber security is one area where the threats are asymmetric; there can be rogue elements anywhere.
