Ban TikTok, It's "Encouraging Pornography": Madras High Court To Govt

The centre has been asked by the Madras High Court to ban popular Chinese video app TikTok, saying it was "encouraging pornography". The order also directs the media from telecasting videos made using the app. TikTok, an app that allows users to create and share short videos with special effects, has over 54 million monthly active users in India.

Over 100 government websites hacked during Jan-Nov 2018: S S Ahluwalia

"As per information reported to and tracked by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), 172 and 105 government websites, which includes 74 and 31 websites hosted on NICNET managed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) were hacked during the year 2017 and 2018 (upto November), respectively," Minister of State for Electronics and IT, S S Ahluwalia said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.

Deepti Naval becomes the latest victim of cybercrime

Actress Deepti Naval who appeared in films like 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'NH10' filed a police complaint after hackers blackmailed her and demanded Rs 3.8 lakh in bitcoin within 24 hours. Hackers emailed Naval her username and password, threatening to make her browsing history public. However, Naval said the police termed the email 'trash' and asked her to ignore it.
